Jupiter has transited from Libra to Scorpio on 27th of October 2006. It will remain in Scorpio for about a year, till 22nd of November 2007 to be precise. During this period Jupiter will be in retrograde motion from 6th of April 2007 to 6th of August 2007. Jupiter is also known as "Lord of the Fortune" and in Vedic Astrology it is considered as a shubh or a benefic planet. In fact it is considered to be the most benefic planet amongst the all benefic planets. Jupiter is Guru or Teacher of Devtas and been conferred the title of “Devguru”.

As per the ancient texts available Jupiter is considered to be the most benefic and powerful amongst all the planets and capable of warding off the evil results and bestowing prosperity and contentment to the native. Jupiter takes about 12 years to complete a complete cycle of 12 zodiac signs.
